Connecting Students to Sustainable Practices through EU-Funded Programmes

At Atlas, we’ve always believed in the power of education and sustainability. This week, we were excited to be part of an inspiring event at the ETSI Agronómica, Alimentaria y de Biosistemas (ETSIAAB) as part of the EU agri-food promotion programme for poultry meat in collaboration with AVIANZA. Our mission is to engage future agricultural leaders with the values that drive the promotion of agricultural products in Europe—sustainability and waste reduction.

This event was a reminder of how aligned the agronomy students are with the goals of the EU-funded programmes, as they shared the same passion for sustainable farming practices that we promote.

Empowering Future Agri-Food Leaders with Sustainable Practices

Learning from Industry Experts and European Programmes

As part of this initiative, we were thrilled to welcome two incredible industry experts for the third consecutive year. Carlos Garcés Narro, a Veterinary Professor at UCH-CEU and President of the European Federation of the World’s Poultry Science Association, and Magaly Gonzalez Vazquez, a consultant expert in sustainability, circular economy, and agri-food, led an interesting and engaging session.. Their insights into sustainability and the future of agriculture were invaluable for the students, aligning perfectly with the EU agri-food promotion programme’s focus on promoting sustainable poultry production.

This is just the beginning! We’re already gearing up for more exciting events in Valencia, Zaragoza, and beyond. These engagements continue to help promote European poultry meat, raise awareness of EU-funded programmes, and share best practices for the future of sustainable farming.
