REA (Research Executive Agency), the European body that controls, supervises and manages the promotion programmes for agri-food products, released €166M for the 2024 call.
There are 2 types of EU-funded programmes:
1.
Simple
1.
SimpleOne or more organisations from the same country submit the proposal (€87M).
2.
Multi
2.
MultiTwo or more organisations from different EU countries submit a joint proposal (€79M).
There are 3 topics that take almost half of the total funding, between SIMPLE and MULTI programmes:
Organic
Sustainable.
Fresh fruit and vegetables.

Who is eligible?

Protected Designations of Origin (PDOs).

Protected Geographical Indications (PGIs).

Producer organisations or Associations of producer organisations recognised by a Member State.

Trade or inter-trade entities or agri-food sector bodies representatives of a sector.
The EU-funded programme timeline has two stages:
1.
Strategy and submission of the programme
1.
Strategy and submission of the programme- Finding the right partners for your organisation (“matchmaking”), if/when needed.
- Target market research and analysis to justify why they are the right ones for you.
- Coordination and collection of administrative documents.
- Support in eligibility check and obtaining PIC number (Participant Identification Code).
- Budget split and allocation among desired activities.
- KPI table (outputs and results) for all activities per target market.
- Development of general action plan for the duration of the programme.
- Design of KV and programme’s visual identity.
- Preparation of final proposal document on official template.
2.
Development, implementation of activities across countries and reporting
2.
Development, implementation of activities across countries and reporting- European partners coordination for MULTI programmes.
- Development of general action plan to ensure consistency and synergies across activities, markets and work packages.
- Project activity calendar creation per target country.
- Execution and implementation of promotional activities across markets.
- Inhouse staff for graphic design, website development, social media, influencer collaboration management, media buying, video editing, event management.
- Collaboration with local agencies and supervision of their work in target markets.
- Regular meetings and catch ups with Project Coordinator and local agencies.
- KPI monitoring to ensure they are reached, and often exceeded.
- Deliverable drafting by work package at the end of each year.
- Financial support upon request throughout the programme.
