Boosting EU agri-food visibility through B2B missions and tasting events
At Atlas Marketing Studio, we’re leading the implementation of the EU-funded programme “Exclusive Lamb & Goat from Europe”, a three-year initiative designed to promote European lamb and goat meat in international markets. This EU-funded programme, led by INTEROVIC, targets Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Japan and Hong Kong. These are key regions for agri-food exports.
As the executing agency, we coordinate activities in each country to build visibility, awareness, and long-term opportunities for European lamb.
August 2025: trade mission to connect with Hong Kong importers
From 26 to 28 August, we organised a business-focused trade mission to better understand the Hong Kong food sector and establish strong trade connections.
Over three days, we held B2B meetings with importers, distributors, and food service companies, including Chef’s Garden, Amerasia, and others. Additionally, we also visited retailers like City Super and Great Food Hall. There, we analysed shelf presence, pricing and positioning of premium meats.
As a result, the feedback from professionals was clear: there’s growing interest in European lamb thanks to its flavour, traceability, and production standards.
September 2025: tasting event with chefs and foodservice professionals
To strengthen our presence, we organised a tasting event on 2 September 2025 at Towngas Cooking Centre. It’s one of Hong Kong’s most respected culinary venues.
More than 15 professionals attended. Among them were chefs from The Royal Garden, Kowloon Shangri-La, and key purchasing managers.
Chefs Albert Kwok and Ron Chan (Angliss Food Service) led a live cooking demo, presenting six lamb-based dishes that blended Western and Asian culinary styles — including Mongolian-style grilled racks and Chinese consommés.
Consequently guests praised the quality and versatility of the meat, showing strong interest in future collaborations across the restaurant and hotel sectors.
A strategic EU agri-food promotion campaign in Hong Kong
Together, these two activations are part of a broader EU-funded agri-food programme to promote European lamb and goat in third-country markets. The goal: position these meats as premium, sustainable, and traceable options in high-potential regions.
At Atlas Marketing Studio, we manage the campaign from start to finish — including strategy, branding, PR, trade missions, and events. Our team blends local execution with clear messaging and measurable impact, adapting each action to the specific context of the target market.
